Professional Developer Portfolio & Headless CMS

Project overview

Overview: A production-ready, ultra-modern developer portfolio engineered to serve as both a high-performance frontend showcase and a secure, data-driven headless content management system (CMS). Built with TypeScript, React 18, and Vite 5, the platform completely decouples content administration from code changes, allowing real-time management of dynamic profile data, services, testimonials, project archives, and blog posts.

Core Architecture and Database Design: The backbone of this application runs on a highly secure, relational architecture powered by Supabase (PostgreSQL), managing 22 database tables. For granular access control, it implements strict Postgres Row-Level Security (RLS) policies across all 22 tables. Public access is granted strictly for data retrieval hooks (SELECT operations), while destructive actions (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE) are isolated behind a centralized, state-protected administrative dashboard authenticated via Supabase Auth. For storage isolation, it integrates Supabase Storage buckets for multi-file asset workflows, managing secure binary streams for image uploads, cover artwork, and multi-version PDF downloads with clean filename normalization. For state management and caching, it leverages optimized React hooks and asynchronous data-fetching layers to cache relational queries, preventing redundant API roundtrips and mitigating N+1 query overheads on rendering states.

Frontend Engineering and Experience: The user interface features fluid motion and micro-interactions, animating with Framer Motion to deliver responsive layout transitions, scrolling timelines, and viewport-aware canvas loads without degrading frames-per-second (FPS). The styling framework scales with utility-first Tailwind CSS using a unified glassmorphism aesthetic layer, custom modern blend variables, and strict design constraints for components like data badges, timeline nodes, and skeleton states (shimmer). The routing strategy is built upon React Router v6, deploying dynamic path parameters for slug-based portfolio items and clean, non-blocking nested navigation routes. The SVG icon ecosystem is unified using Lucide React icons to achieve lightweight, dynamically colored vector illustrations across varying application themes.

Technical Stack Summary: The frontend leverages TypeScript, React 18, Vite 5, and Tailwind CSS. Animation and navigation are handled by Framer Motion and React Router v6. The backend, authentication, and storage tiers run on Supabase (PostgreSQL, Auth, Buckets), encompassing 22 database tables with RLS. Quality assurance and hosting are supported by ESLint code rules and Vercel edge infrastructure.
